THERE ARE FOUR GROWTH STAGES OF THE REISHI MUSHROOM
Precision Planting: One Reishi per Duanwood section
We have a meticulous cultivation method by planting only one Reishi mushroom on each section of Duanwood.
Optimal Medium: A 30cm section of Duanwood is selected as the medium.
Selective Growth: Only one sturdy baby Reishi is allowed to grow in the middle of the Duanwood section, ensuring it can fully absorb the nutrients.
This Duanwood cultivation method guarantees that each Reishi mushroom develops a large, robust fruiting body with a high content of active ingredients.
1. Baby Reishi Sprouting
Small pinheads form on the Duanwood. Only 1 Reishi Mushroom grows on the 30cm Duanwood to ensure that each Reishi mushroom contains sufficient active ingredients when maturing.
This growth period typically takes 5 – 7 days.
2. Pileus Opening
The Pileus is the technical name for the cap of the mushroom. This is the stage when the cap of the mushroom starts to unfold and expands as it matures. Manual weeding and insect removal ensures that there will be no contamination.
This growth period typically takes 7 – 10 days, after the initial sprouting
3. Growth
Immature Reishi mushrooms have a golden white ring around the edges because this is where active growth occurs. This ring indicates the mushroom is still expanding and absorbing nutrients before it matures to its typical reddish-brown colour.
This growth period typically takes 10 – 14 days. This is all depending on growing conditions.
4. Maturity (Spore Spraying)
This phase occurs when the mature Reishi mushroom releases spores into the environment. It typically happens after the mushroom has fully matured.
DID YOU KNOW – Reishi mushrooms release their spores from tiny holes (Called Basidia) located underneath the mushroom caps, and not from the top of the mushroom surface. 🍄
Spore release is really important for Reishi mushrooms to reproduce and spread in their natural environment.
The growth period typically takes 14 – 21 days
Harvesting of Spore Powder Collection:
We utilize advanced white cardboard tube collection technology to harvest Reishi spore powder, ensuring it remains clean and pollution-free. This method guarantees that the collected spore powder is hygienic, free of sediment, impurities, and plasticizers.
Reishi mushrooms spray spores for 3-4 months, but we only select the fresh spore powder sprayed within the first 50 days. Spores collected during this period are plump and contain a higher content of active ingredients.
